Trennbaren Verben = Separate verbs.
(as far as i can understand)
If it's a composite verb e.g. auf + stehen = aufstehen, the verb is split up when describing a situation. The first part goes to the back of the sentence, while the second part goes in front.
eg. Felix ruft er seine Freundin an. (an+ruft = anrufen)
The second part of the verb is in the grammatical form of the pronoun described

losrennen → rennen Sie los
weiterarbeiten → arbeitet er weiter
anfangen → fängst du an
